The most important and magnificent sanctuary of Ancient Athens built on a rock in the center of the city. Its most impressive buildings (Parthenon, Erechteion, Temple of Athena Nike) are still adored as high points of architecture and artistic creation.
With an exhibition space of about 14,000 m2, 10 times more than the Old Acropolis Museum, the work of Bernard Tschumi Architects with Michael Fotiadis houses archaeological finds spanning Archaic, Classic and Roman times.

Named after the revolt of 1843 that forced king Otto to pass the first ever Constitution of modern Greece. The main attraction in the square is the Monument of Unknown Soldier honoring all dead Greek soldiers whose bodies were never found, which is guarded by the Presidential Guards of Evzones.

A Neoclassical historic monumental building of Athens that was built especially for the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Today it is used as an exhibition and ceremony space.
One of the most important monuments of modern Athens. A monumental reconstruction of an ancient stadium that was exclusively made of marble (that is why is also called in Greek “Kallimarmaro”, which means: made of beautiful marble). Its reconstruction was a parallel project of the construction of the Zappeion Megaron. Panathinaikon Stadium hosted the first modern Olympic Games in 1896.
